Bundler Bagger
The Bundler unit is designed to minimise operational manpower when post code sorting mail running on a high-speed inserter system. The unit collates a pile of filled envelopes in a vertical stacker device and at the end of the postcode group, straps them together into a tight bundle using a plastic strip, which it then seals. The strapped bundle is then ejected onto a conveyor or, where required, into a postal sack Bagger Unit. The controls of the unit can be set to collate the bundle at a predefined size as a sub-set of a larger postcode group.
Various models of the unit are available, depending on the envelope size and speed characteristics of the inserter system to which it is attached.
Control is via the Direct Connect™ operating system of the inserter, which reads control characters (OMR/BCR/OCR) on the address documents to identify the postcode breaks in the mailstream.
