How do you know what is good performance? How do you know what is possible? One of the easiest means is to create meaningful benchmarks. DFWorks allows you to easily create these peer-to-peer comparisons and then to understand why good performance is achieved, as well as what the issues are when less-than-desirable performance is realised.
One of the fundamental practices to Industrial Engineering has been to establish relevant standards for performance and to measure against these standards. DFWorks Productivity Reporting module allows you to analyse historical performance set relevant standards, then measure performance on an ongoing basis.
Performance to standards can be one measure of evaluating your staff. Total performance often involves multiple factors, and that’s where DFWorks score-carding capability comes in. Score cards are level playing fields for you to evaluate you staff against productive time (amount of time working vs. goal) productivity (output compared to goal) and last but not least quality (% 1st pass yield). As each organisation may place different levels of importance on these factors you simple weight each for your organisation on a scale of 1 to 10 (10 highest). The weights are applied uniformly to all work and operators.
