Systems - Hardware, Software & People /
Processes
When we talk about the systems involved
within ADF Solutions, we typically mean all those system
components that interact with the production of mailpieces that
are the end result of the ADF manufacturing process. This starts
with the arrival of raw business data through to the bags or
trays of envelopes ready for postal distribution.
The mailpiece document production process includes but is not
limited to all of the following processes; data acquisition &
manipulation, stock procurement, stock warehousing, stock
delivery to production processes, document composition, document
output file management, production printing, production
inserting, postal sorting & distribution. Often there are
additional pre and post production processes that can be either
manual, semi automated or fully automated that also have impact
on your ADF.
All these production processes have an impact on the overall
operational efficiency and effectiveness of an ADF Operation –
this is the correct balance of how these impact the mailpiece
manufacturing production process as well as how each process and
associated materials interact with each other. The people, shift
patterns, training principles, and employee remuneration
philosophies all make up other system related aspects that can
and often do impact an ADF both positively or negatively.
Pitney Bowes has a range of hardware and software systems that
have significant positive impact to an ADF Operation. Take a
