Unique high-speed mixed letter mail processing
The Olympus II MT offers high-speed letter mail processing and an innovative feeder that will process a variety of mixed letter mail - postcards, letters and C5. The friction-based feeder design allows mail to be processed at speeds of up to 36,000 pieces per hour and guarantees exceptional processing control. This design eliminates much of the noise often associated with vacuum feeders, making the Olympus II MT one of the quietest machines in the industry.
MLOCR Flexibility
Olympus II MT utilises world-class OCRs and flexible software-based technology to ensure optimal read rates. Our advanced OCRx technology can take high read rates even higher. Easily upgradeable, Pitney Bowes’ MLOCR system offers a 178mm field of view.
Outbound / Inbound Mail Processing
The Olympus II MT will automate letter mail up to 298.45 x 177.8 x 6.35mm thick depending upon the type of processing required and the size of the mailpiece. To meet your individual needs, the multi-tier system can be configured with as few as 16 to an unlimited number of sorting pockets.
Standard LCD monitors allow each sorting pocket to provide destination identity. Optional tray tag printers can be added to place standard or user customised information on each mail tray. The Olympus II MT can process outgoing letter mail using postal address files or incoming letter mail using a customer provided database.
Printing
The Olympus II MT design offers a variety of printing options. There are four printer locations on the transport—three for front side printing and a fourth for backside printing. The Imaje continuous inkjet printers will print text, a wide variety of barcodes and identification tags in black or fluorescent inks. These state-of-the-art printers guarantee exceptional print quality and low maintenance.
User-friendly Design & Customer Support
Olympus II MT pocket heights are ergonomically designed for operator safety, efficiency and comfort. Sorting pockets easily pull out to clear occasional jams. And, should a pocket malfunction and need to be replaced, it can be pulled out and exchanged with a new pocket instantly without having to clear the mail stream.
The Olympus II MT utilises a user-friendly Windows NT architecture that provides for a state-of-the-art processing system. The multi-tier was specifically designed with unprecedented accessibility for service. Our convenient backside panels open to electronics, belts and compliant rollers, making service and preventive maintenance the easiest in the industry.
