Taking an archive solution to full digital workflow
at global chemical company Celanese
Every day 250 to 300 invoices from some 2500 active suppliers
are received at the Celanese headquarters, based in Kronenberg
in the Taunus region of Germany. Previously these would have
been prepared in the post-room and sent as hard copies to the
department responsible for invoice processing..
Qualified personnel were then tasked with entering the data by
hand into the SAP system, before they could begin the real work
of booking and checking. Today, with the help of an outsourced
data capture and workflow solution from Pitney Bowes Management
Services (PBMS), the invoice checking process has transformed
significantly.
