External Return Addressing
Since 4th October 2004, it is a condition of service for franking machine customers to include an External Return address (ERA) on their envelope if they want their undeliverable mail returned to them, as Royal Mail is no longer running its return service for mail without one. As a result of this, franked mail that cannot be delivered and that does not include a return address will be disposed of by Royal Mail
Why will this benefit you?
It will ensure that valuable mail (cheques / invoices / legal documents / medical documents etc.) is returned efficiently and that your mailing base is kept up to date – reducing wasted postage and increasing response rates.
What do you need to do next.
